Located at the tip of the beautiful Whangaparaoa Peninsula, the Gulf Harbour Lodge is at the head of a delightful canal with views of the water and is gateway to the renowned Hauraki Gulf.

Mostly clean, but cabintery in the bedroom oculd do with a good dust. No facilities other than a reception and a room. Inside the room there was a tv (not flat screen), small fridge, sink, kettle, so fairly basic. The only service is the check in procedure and the desk was unattended when we arrived, it took about 5 minutes for someone to come once we called them, they were pleasant when they did arrive though. I was a little disappointed as I thought from the pictures on the website that the boats/marina would be outside our window, however across the small amount of water was some dry grass and then a view of the local neigbourhood housing - not quite the outlook I had pictured. It is located right near a nice restaurant however- Carpe Diem, who had nice food, lovely friendly service and live Greek music (Violin, Viola, Accordian and Double Bass) which was fantastic and really made you feel like you were on holiday. I found the accommodation overpriced for what it was.

there was no information on anything no sky book, about the motel or places to do or eat. floor very stained
