Value for money was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. easy acess to all major attractions. Would recommend it to other travellers and would deinitely stay again

Some of the rooms have no window at all!!! (not informed of this when making reservation) Hotel does not have backup generator for power shortages - that occur! (neighboring hotels do have generators). No power means no airconditioning, no hotwater and - in windowless rooms - no light at all!!! If everything is working and you get a room with a window - it's an OK hotel, well located with a nice roof terrace.

We found this hotel to be good budget accomodation. Although basic, the room was bright and had a fridge, hairdrier, tv, phone and airconditioning. The manager of the hotel provided friendly and polite service. The location is perfect for the main touristic sights, but whilst the street can get a little noisy, we were not really bothered by it. We would consider staying here again.

We have spent couple of wonderful days during May 2007 in Istanbul in Gul Sultan Hotel. It is very nice hotel with friendly atmosphere. The hotel is located in the main tourist area, just few minutes away from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. From the hotel terrace we enjoyed the night view of gorgeously alighted Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. The manager, who is also the owner and receptionist, was very kind and helpful. The hotel does not have public internet connection, however hotel manager allowed us to use his private computer couple times. The hotel room was very cozy and nicely furnished. Especially we were very pleased with our bathroom, which could be envied by many western European hotels. The breakfast was served in small hotel dining room and was really delicious. We appreciated the hospitality of Turkish people when the manager and his family shared their dinner with us. We would certainly recommend this hotel for staying in Istanbul. Peter P. & Helena S.
