Resting on the western shores of the island of Guam, the city of Tumon draws massive crowds annually to this hot tourist spot. For a round of golf, visitors will find numerous courses at which to play. Tourists will also enjoy taking a walk through Cushing Zoo. Filled with indigenous species and marine life, this zoo provides guests a unique opportunity to observe the native flora and fauna of Guam. Close to the zoo is Chinese Park, which overlooks the water and is packed with artistic sculptures showcasing Chinese design. When To Go
With a uniform climate of warm and humid, Tumon is a wonderful year-round vacation spot. Daily temperatures average highs of around 31°C (87°F). The dry season runs from January to late April and provides pleasant weather and low humidity. Unfortunately, Guam is located in what is called ‘Typhoon Alley’ in the Pacific Ocean, meaning typhoons are generally apparent during the months of October and November.

Getting There
By air, visitors can reach Tumon by numerous domestic and international airlines. There are regular flights from places like Japan and Hong Kong, as well as Indonesia, Taiwan and many others. Australian and US tourists will find it quite easy to reach the island of Guam.
The Guam Mass Transit Authority (GMTA) operates bus routes, which connect to almost all villages on the island, including Tumon. However, the GMTA can sometimes be unreliable and not run everyday. For up-to-date schedule and routes, visitors should refer to the Guam Regional Transit Authority before visiting.
Tour buses are a fun way to get around the island and Tumon. There are several private companies that operate in Guam and make regular runs between places like the Micronesia Mall and the Guam Premier Outlets. Tourists can choose from one of the single or double-stacked open-air buses.
