For history buffs, make sure the War of the Pacific National Historical Park is on your list of places to visit. When To Go
The climate in Tamuning is considered to be tropical since the weather is usually hot and humid. The average high temperature year round is between 70° and 85°F (20° to 30°C). Rainfall is prominent in the months of July through November, with annual rainfall about 90in (229 cm). From December through June, the dry season kicks in and is great for tourists coming from cold and rainy locales. Often called ‘Typhoon Alley’, the island of Guam is most vulnerable to storms during the months of October and November.

Getting There
The Antonio B. Won Pat Guam International Air Terminal is a spacious complex that is only two miles from hotels along Tumon Bay. Flights from the United States to Tamuning are available by way of Hawaii, Japan as well as other Asian countries and other islands in the Pacific Ocean.
By boat, tourists will find that there is no regular ferry service, however some cruise lines do schedule stops in Guam depending on their itineraries.
Although Guam cannot be reached by car, there are many transportation options available on the island. Car rental can be obtained at the airport or booked with your hotel. Check with your hotel when booking your reservations for information on renting a vehicle during your stay.
