If you are looking for something with a great location and a good price and are ok with not having a posh room. This is a good place for you. we paid $200 for a night here over a very busy SF weekend. Its literally 2 blocks from union square. Looking at the pictures, you know you are not getting the most comfortable bed or most updated decor. But what I didn't realize is that there is NO AIR SYSTEM. Windows open or nothing at all. I was kind of disappointed at this. But it didn't ruin my stay. I will definitely stay here again. But not in a cold of winter or the heat of summer.

Everything was as described and as the other comments said. The breakfast was perfect for us and the room was very clean and well kept. We were on the 4th floor and no noise from the street. the tramway is just one block away and union square and the chinatown are juste few block away, if you don't mind walking up and down a hill ! We enjoyed our stay and we would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very good location a few blocks from Union Square. I had an 11th floor studio with a balcony and could see across to the Bay. Staff were very helpful and there was free internet, free continental breakfast which was good (fresh bagels, toast, fruit, cereal, juice), and a laundry on the ground floor which was available 24 hours. Staff booked tours and airport shuttle for me and all were very friendly. There was a small kitchenette in the room. The rooms were a little rundown but for the price it was excellent. I stayed for 5 days.

On site Laundry is well received, appreciated breakfast availability. Size of room well above average . We were a little worried about the up-hill walk up Pine Street when we arrived as we could not get on the street car ( long queues) but this was manageable even with bags but may present an issue for the less mobile. Rooms were quiet

overall i would say the hotel was "good". the lady that helped us at the front counter when checking in was polite, knowledgeable, and quick. (as we were running late for a dinner reservation.) as for house keeping, she knocked on our door three times before checkout to see if we had left yet, rather irritating. but for the most part, we would stay here again.
