The hotel has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are well appointed and lovely. The restaurant is very good. While the restaurant and cleaning staff was very nice and accommodating, the front desk was inexperienced, not handling a small "crisis" -- middle of the night false fire alarms -- at all well. Could have been because it was a weekend. Nevertheless, we expected more from the frontline staff of a 5 star hotel.

Recently refurbished room was beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Attended an event in the evening and the meal, service only added to the enjoyment. Expensive but worth treating yourself when you can afford it!

The hotel is now owned by Marriott and is undergoing refurbishment (not before time!); currently this has some impact on cleanliness in corridors and elevator areas. Otherwise, it is as clean as you would wish. There is probably a year of work still to be done and I suspect customers who are staying on a cheap internet rate are getting rooms that are not yet fully refurbished. All that aside, the rates available are excellent for a hotel of this class, right on Park Lane, with Oxford Street and Piccadilly near at hand.

A very central hotel, but currently undergoing some refurbishment. The bar prices are a little expensive, but overall the hotel would get an 9/10.
