Grey Street Hotel Newcastle Upon Tyne Guest Reviews
Good location in the heart of Newcastle. Room was basic although very clean. Reception staff were OK, but welcome was nothing special. All in all decent stay, would have expected more for the 100 quid a night we paid though.

Do not expect pompous gate and big entrance. It took me some minutes to find the proper door. But the location is excellent. Everything is walking distance. My disappointment was – the price did not include breakfast. I felt safe but as a simple accommodation I would say the price was on the higher scale.

Room not very big and a bit basic, nice bathroom though. TV not tuned properly. Expensive breakfast (£12.95) in Living Room Restaurant was well worth the money. Staff very helpful. We would probably stay there again

Overall stay was pleasing, although I felt the front reception staff could have been a little more friendly, upon check in and check out they really made no effort to ask if we had been to newcastle before, or if we even enjoyed our stay. No minibar? Rooms very comfortable, breakfast quite good.

It was cheeky of them to charge for newspapers. Also, the modern looking bathroom didn't have a very good water supply.
