Gresham Hotel London

A standard room meant a very small basement room with a double bed in a corner and a small desk in the opposite corner. Lots of noise from upstairs. Single bed sheets overlapped across the bed.

Generally, it was what one would expect for the price. However, there were some issues I didn't expect. First, when I arrived, I was told that my reservation did not include breakfast. There was nothing that alerted me to this before. I didn't like the fact that there was no warning, and that the description of the deal when I first made the reservation showed that breakfast was included. Also, they didn't have a hair dryer. First time this has happened to me in a hotel. So, not a bad deal, but there are some things to be aware of. I was not very satisfied.

Room is clean, wifi in the room, good service. Our room is on downstair, so a little bit warm and noisy in the morning, coz of the breakfastroom is on the next door.

The room had just enough room to breathe once you were inside. The location was decent enough, right by Hyde Park and a short walk to Paddington Staion. You had to leave your key when you left, and would give it back without ID when you returned. You only needed the room number, I actually was given someone else's key at one point. Did not feel safe leaving valuables in the room.

The room was small which we expected, but was clean and in good condition. The staff were very friendly and the location near Paddington Station was awesome. Very good value for money.

My wife and I were in London for 3.5 days and needed an affordable hotel to crash at night since we were mostly sight-seeing. Located just 5 min from Paddington St, with trains to practically all major attractions. Most convenient for travelling from Heathrow via the Express with no subsequent train transfer. Room is expectedly very small, but clean and decent. With wi-fi and new TV, recently renovated washroom. Friendly and helpful reception staff. We would certainly be back again!

The room is small, but clean and tidy. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Very close to tube and train station. Best of all, the hotel provide free WiFi services.

well located, clean & friendly staff. It was perfect for what we wanted, & V reasonably priced. We had trouble tuning TV but did not ask as we were out most of the time!

The hotel was centrally located in Paddington, close to Tube and bus lines. Very clean and up to date furniture, the room was a bit tiny, but this may be the norm in London! Hotel provides free Wi-Fi as an added bonus. Staff are helpful, and upon checking in, discovered my bathroom light did not work, however after letting the reception know as i left for the day, it was fixed by the time i got back in the evening. Room was very muggy and hot though, a small fan was provided, but perhaps air-con may be a good investment for future!

I'm sure I had the worst room in the hotel - a reflection of the price I paid, I think. The bathroom had a window which wouldn't close, and so it was kind of freezing. It was also adjoining the kitchen, so it was noisy. Wouldn't recommend the place, but it's located decently and it's cheap.

In the Paddington area there are a lot of these old-style homes turned into hotels and you always take your chances with them. Although there were a few small issues, this one was ok and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast could have been better, but the Internet wireless was free and available throughout the hotel and of a good quality.

This Hotel was very convenient to Paddington Station and therefore the airport/underground train transport - therefore enabling easy travel throughout London. The room was small, quite hot because of the lack of power points - couldnt have the fan (supplied) and TV on at the same time - this said, it's convience outweighed the minor hassel. Breakfast good, hotel staff pleasant - all in all a good convientent place to stay in the middle of London. Would reccommend for convenience and cleanliness.

The room was dirty from the previous occupants when we arrived but that was quickly rectified. The room was very small but not a big issue as it was only needed to sleep in. Walls were very thin and it was quite noisy. Very friendly reception staff. Idea location for where we needed to be and on the whole very reasonably priced for what we got.

Good location within walking distance of Paddington station. Single room very small but adequate for one night. Bits of the hotel looking a little tired, freebox with tv but not many channels available. Staff friendly, breakfast ok.
