Location
Located in a quiet section of Alghero, about 800 metres from city centre, the Green Sporting Club has a bus that takes guests to the beautiful San Giovanni beach every hour. The Alghero airport is 9 km from the hotel and 14 km to Cape Caccia, with the Neptune's Grotto.
Rooms
Guests can choose from a mini apartment with kitchenette or a regular hotel room at the Green Sporting club. All rooms have air conditioning, telephone, mini bar, showers en suite, internet access and balconies.
Restaurant
A restaurant on site offers a breakfast buffet, and limited hours for lunch and dinner. Several restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel. Two bars are also at the Green Sporting Club and offer a great place to relax and unwind after a full day of fitness and sightseeing!

Very friendly receptionist; appropriate rooms for sleeping; pool used by local clubs; just a little bit too far from historic center to walk to; parking available at no cost

The staff were universally pleasant, but seemed to have little idea about things. For instance, being unable to say how much the restaurant meals would cost. The promised UK news channel was not available (only Italian stations were provided) and the only explanation was that it was raining. It also seems excessive to change towels and soap daily when there is a national water shortage.

hotel good, location not so good breakfast good, but dinner choice very poor,with cold veg and very cold red wine.

I loved this hotel. Even though it was a good walk into town, the walk was along the scenic coast. The hotel staff were lovely - friendly, helpful and patient. The apartment I stayed in was a good size and the supermarket is close by. I'd recommend this hotel and will definitely be going back.
