Pretty good. Pretty good. Pretty good. Pretty good. Pretty good.

The best asset of this hotel is something that is in spite of itself: it's killer location 2 blocks from Union Square. The hotel is decaying, the rooms small and barely clean. I have stayed at worse places before, and I'm not very picky, but the truth is if you want to stay in this area for less than $100, you'll have to make abstraction of the poor condition of the room and the lack of comfort.

For the price, I wasn't disappointed. It was a small room and not luxurious by any means, but I wasn't looking for anything else other than a place to crash and the location was perfect. It was literally a block away from union square, chinatown started across the street and walking distance from any means of transportation. We even managed to walk to fisherman's wharf and it was not even a real work out. Overall, I was satisfied.

The hotel was adequate and friendly. I especially liked the advice that the staff gave me for budgetary considerations, especially local low-cost Chinese food. I also like the safe Chinatown environment for the hotel.

Great location. Close to restaurants, shopping & public transportation. Room was very small, but clean. Furniture & bedspread were old, very worn and outdated. Bed was comfortable, but squeaky. Sheets were clean. No screens in the windows. TV was old & small. Bathroom light was on a motion sensor (very annoying) and would go off every 60 seconds, so you would have to wave your hand or move about to have the light turn on again. Bathroom was clean. There are lockers you can rent for 50 cents if you need to store luggage. This is definitely a no frills hotel where even the ice machine takes quarters. Staff was friendly and if you`re just looking for a place to crash, it's a good value. If you plan on spending a lot of time in your room or like a lot of extras, I`d look elsewhere.
