Location
The Grande Shores Ocean Resort enjoys an outstanding location on the oceanfront in beautiful Myrtle Beach, along the Grand Strand towards the North of 77th avenue and places it close to shopping, dining, entertainment and golfing areas.
Rooms
The property features spacious condominiums, suites and rooms furnished with all the quintessential commodities to accommodate the needs of large families, groups of holiday makers and couples.
Restaurant
Begin your day with a great breakfast served to you in the restaurant of the resort. You can later enjoy fine delicacies at the Shoreline restaurant that features an array of dishes for your delight. The lounge-bar is the right place where you can enjoy a pre or post dinner drink offered to you in a relaxing atmosphere.
General
The resort features a business centre, which you can utilise to interact with colleagues or organise meetings for up to 150 persons in the conference centre. Stay in shape by utilising the fully equipped fitness facility or just gaze at the ocean while you float in the lazy river. The resort offers a number of activities that keep the kids entertained throughout their stay.

My hotel stay was pretty much excellent. Chris who worked the front desk at check-in was excellent. He went out of his way to get us checked in as soon as possible. The room had a bad spot on the floor, but the clean-up engineer came to room and took care of the problem. He went out of his way to make sure we were completely satisfied with his clean-up task. I loved the parking which was right outside the hotel room door. Will surely stay at this resort again.

With so many mixed reviews about this location I honestly had no idea what to expect. I chose it primarily because of the great pricing that was available, and the fact that it was right on the beach. Although I was upset upon arrival at the late 4pm check in time, I must say that I am really pleased with my stay at this hotel. I was ecstatic to open my room door and see such a spacious area fully equipped with a small kitchen. The view from my windows were also stunning and relaxing to watch on a daily basis. On site there are a couple of pools to accommodate just about everyone in this huge! building. Location wise the hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the boardwalk which is fine because of so many restaurants/shops/grocery places scattered all over myrtle beach. The service from everyone employed at this location was great, and overall I had a great 5 night stay. The only thing that bothered me was the tight parking spaces made available, however it is FREE parking so I will take that. Besides that the hotel does seem a bit old, and in need of a renovation on the inside(nothing drastic). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a vacation in Myrtle Beach.

First time to Myrtle Beach- like Daytona on steroids. This hotel was in a sedate and quiet area with an easy commute to everything. The sand and ocean water matched- both gray but the waves were fun- just the right size for kids & adults. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Our oceanfront room had a full size fridge and microwave and a great view. Front office was friendly and helpful. Indoor & plentiful outdoor pools. Parking spots could fill up if you arrive after 9pm in the evening but it's really convenient to park on the same floor as your room especially when moving suitcases. Bank of 3 elevators is in the middle of the complex so if you're using the beach you have a bit of a walk or use the stairs.

Luggage carts were not available when we arrived and departed. We had to make three trips between our room and car upon arrival and departure. We requested luggage cats but they never arrived on the first floor after "engineering" was called. The lights between our beds did not light. The refrigerator in our room leaked inside the refrigerator. We had to request a remote device for our TV. There was none in our room upon arrival. Upon return from a drive on Sunday our car was almost hit by a water balloon thrown from and upper floor room. There is no real separation between the multi level parking garage and the hotle rooms. It is almost as if the hotel rooms were built around a parking garage. There appears to be the danger of exhaust fumes getting into the corridors. The price we paid was entirely too expensive for the experence and service we encountered.
