The location is the best there is overlooking the old town. A 10 min walk to the town was pleasant. As taxis are rather expensive and waiting for a bus is cumbersome, the location was an important factor to me. The hotel staff were freindly and useul. Hotel prices are generally overpriced in this area so are the air fares to Dubrovnik.

The view, location and grounds are very beautiful. Very good breakfasts with a large selection. The room was clean but there were two large stains, one on the carpet right in the middle of the room (the bellboy had smartly laid down one of our suitcases on top of it when we moved in!). The other on the ceiling of the bathroom. The service was ok but not friendly. The staff is rather aloof. Very different from luxury hotels in other parts of the world. We found this to be the case in most hotels/restaurants in Croatia and heard the same comments from other tourists.

We were very pleased with the room and facilities of the Grand Villa Argentina Hotel. The staff were also very pleasant and ensured our stay was enjoyable. We would stay at this hotel in Dubrovnik again and will recommend it to our friends.
