Verry nice hotel with lots of variaty hot and cold breakfast and delicious kinds of pastry and cakes. Differnt resturant on the premesis with big relaxing swimming pool, glimpse of the pyramid. ATM facility Away from shopping centre you must have a car or a taxi to go anywhere.

This hotel is in a great location for visiting the Great Pyramids in Giza. The rooms are really big, clean, bright, and some have views of the pyramids! Which is pretty amazing to see through your window. If you don't get the view... take the elevator up a couple of floors. Breakfast is really good with a great selection of well prepared foods, I also had dinner in the Italian restaurant in the evening and they had a solo singer in the pool area singing popular music which was nice, the food and service from the Italian restaurant was very nice. My only complaint is that they are very paranoid about allowing guests who are not registered to the rooms. They could handle this in much more reasonable way... it seems. I have friends in Cairo and this was embarassing and irritating. As a suggestion have the friends register with an ID card at the front desk and then allow a visit. I understand security concerns but as a paying guest the way to which they take this to another level is wrong.

Good location that overlooks pyramids -but only at floors 4 & 5. Old furnishings and facilities. High traffic noise from highway -no insulated windows. Internet is very expensive and slow.

EVerything good except avoid the car service in the lobby - way overpriced - you can walk right outside the front gate and get a taxi to provide the same services - negotiate with them of course - for about half or a third of the price this guy in the lobby charges. He's just ripping people off.

We were there for 14 days. Better than I expected. In fact it's kind of posh. The pool is the center piece, the rooms are nice (with a balcony), the restaurants are good, particularly Luciano's (Italian). Breakfast (at La Palme D'Or) is good - they will try to herd you to a table, but sit where you want to - you are the guest. There are two nice gift shops in the hotel. There is an in-room vault and refridgerator. Laundry service is quick. There is a fast cable Internet conection in the room (good speed was a big surprise) with 30, 60 minute or 24 hour internet cards available to buy at the desk. There is a MISR Bank is in the hotel, and a good grocery store around the corner (100 yards walk). The bank is great for exchanging money, but charges $5 US per travelers cheque, so you should go to an Amercian Express or Thomas Cook office, which will charge 3% for the total. American Express is at 15 Kasar El Nil Street in Cairo (make a note - it's hard to find).

My friend and I had a very enjoyable time at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had nearly all our evening meals at the hotel's restaurants, all very enjoyable. In the evening it was a pleasure to sit by the pool and enjoy a glass of fresh mango juice and a cup of tea or turkish coffee. We went for several walks in the neighbourhood, where the contrast between our luxury and the situation for the locals was very obvious but met very friendly, helpful, hospitable, humourous and welcoming locals of all ages. Despite the noise from trafic it is a hotel I would love to return to, I hope they keep the marvelous pianist in the foyer, he was a pleasure to listen to after a hard day seeing the sights.

Nice well maintained hotel quite close to the pyramids. Bit of an expedition into Cairo city centre but was relatively straightforward by local taxi, minibus taxi and metro and added a bit of fun to the trip. The only real gripe was the inability to provide hot coffee at breakfast! It was always luke warm even after it had been pointed out!

excellent service from the staff. rooms were clean and nice. the indoor pool is a nice bonus but needs tidying up a bit but still had a good swim (bit cold outdoors, fab pool bit chilly at this time of year). excellent breakfast and the thai restaurant was lovely. The hotel is only about 10 mins by car from the pyramids, not walking distance although i wouldnt recommend walking along the road as its chaos. fab holiday and fantastic tours arranged through [this website] too.

Very impressed with this hotel. Cant really think of anything as a negative. Can see pyramids from the hotel balcony. There is a flyover running near the hotel, but this being Cairo you are going to get traffic and noise wherever you stay! Rooms were well insulated anyway so not noisey. Good restaurant and reasonable prices, fast and polite room service, nice large flat screen TV.

We had a very large room, but it overlooked a highway so very noisy (incl at night). Partial pyramid view behind this... The bath leaked, and the decor was not really what I would describe as 5*. Nice pool area, decent food.

Very nice hotel BUT bath took 1 hr to run from no water pressure, plugs in bath and basin did not work, leak from back of toilet and A/C broke but was fixed within the hour. All staff were very helpful and spoke english well.

As our first visit to Cairo, our stay at the Grand Pyramids Hotel was a great choice. It was extremely comfortable and the environment was refreshing and relaxing. Our guide from Target Taxi was very hospitalable who made sure that our visit was memorable. I will definetly return and recommend this hotel to my friends.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location was good, breakfast was o.k but the problem we had was that none of the waiters understood any english which is very important for communication.Room service orders had to be repeated several times before they could understand and orders were brought after a long wait. The hotel on the whole is great and can be recommended to others as it is close to the pyramids.

Great location for the Pyramids and taxi rides into Cairo are cheap (35.00 Egypt pounds) Call before your trip and they can have a hotel car waiting for you at the airport (70.00 Egyptian pounds)

I loved this hotel because it was one of the most clean and fun hotels I have been to!!!!! I really recommend this hotel to all the people of the world!!!!!You should better book the hotel before going because they will charge you double the amount you get through internet booking. The breakfast was the most complete breakfast i have been to. The afternoon fun activities are wonderful And the swimming pool was so clean. You are really close to the pyramids and if you don't get backaches easily you can walk to the pyramids any time. Even some rooms have pyramid veiw. The only problem is that right infront of the hotel there is a massive construction. I really enjoyed my stay at this magnificant hotel!!!

This is a new hotel so hopefully the service issue will improve in future. It is 1/2 hour walk from the Pyramids. Building & rooms are very good for the price.

the staff at this hotel were very good with our kids ,the pool is huge as are the rooms. one downside was no hairdriers . the location is good for the pyramids, memphis and sakkara. it takes 1/2 hr to get into the centre of Cairo which is an experience in itself. however a taxi can be hired for the entire day for NZ$100. I should stay here again. of note the local area is not conducive to walking out however most of Cairo is a bit like that.
