This is abeautiful Hotel, well kept Gardens, lovely staff easy book in procedure. They are refurbishing some of the rooms in the hotel, and our romom did smell a little damp, but that did not spoil our stay.

Would not stay here again. Very little for a lot of money. Stayed here for a few days and then moved on to a much cheaper hotel that offered much more.

This resort is right on the beach. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent facilities for eating, including italian Restaurant, Beach Cafe and Indoor Cafe-Restaurant. There were "theme" nights of different wolrd cuisines diring our stay. Well priced food, but wine, which is local, is rather ropey. The Indonesian Government has slapped huge duties on imported wines and they're really out of reach unless you want to pay silly prices. Take in you full quota of wine from duty free - it ain't much, but it'll save quite a bit of money. And make sure you pay the little bit extra dn book a sea view roon with balcony. Terrific views!

We stayed over xmas, 2008. The buffet breakfast was quite good, they managed to vary it over the week we were there. The beach was kept clean as were all the grounds. Our children, aged 7 and 9, enjoyed the pools, beach and playground to the point where we did not use the kids club. The ocean was pleasant to swim in. We ate lunch at the Jukung restaurant which was on the beach, great food and service. For evenings we walked down the street, many restaurants to choose from. Great for families. The only thing we disliked was all the noise from the water sports.

The hotel is very nice with good facilities. When we arrived they told us that our room would not be ready until 8pm because the person before wanted a late check out. We agreed to go into another room until ours was available, however when we wanted a late check out ourselves they wanted another $40. They also they did not advise us on check in that the whole wing was being renovated, so all day long we had constant banging in the rooms next door. Our suite was very nice and brand new, the first room was very musky. The food was good as well. We would stay again.

Breakfast buffet was excellent with very diverse offerings for many cultural preferences. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was a little difficult get information about where to go/what to see as we could never find who was really the consierge. The taxi desk staff referred us to a massage spa outside the hotel which was inferior. Must have had a family member there...so it goes. It was a very nice stay otherwise and we would recommend it highly.

Nice hotel with nice views. I stayed in Ocean view and it as nice. Service was also great with many activities going around. Location good with couple of good restaurants nearby. Recommended.

We stayed at The Grand Mirage for 8 days, after being in Bali for 2 weeks at different hotels, and this was by far the best.The efficiency and friendliness of the staff was excellent. The location was superb, the food was great, in fact I cannot find anything negative about the Hotel at all. Nothing was too much trouble, and the rooms were clean and spacious. We will most definately be returning.

The aircon in the hotel really sucks..the outside temp was a scorching 32-35 degree centigrade and the aircon system is in need of an overhaul...the hotel changed our rooms on both occasions but the cooling meant we just about got thru the night...one could not keep the verandah doors open since mosquitoes are an issue...so it''s like a sauna...maybe if there was a mosquito mesh like door, the sea breeze would have made things better...one also needs to keep in mind that all the restaurants as well as enclosed areas in the hotel are not aircon and can be pretty stiffling....this problem is highlighted by the fact that the aircon in the adjacent Thalasso Bali spa was working extremely well even in their semi open areas...the in room temperature controllers do not work as confirmed by the hotel staff and the blowers are just not serviced.

Staff are friendly enough. However, beyond that they are not knowledgable about some parts of the operation [e.g. shuttle services to various destination]. Aircon in the rooms could also be cooler. All in all, the hotel is average at best.
