When we arrived the lady on the desk took my paperwork off me that I printed out for my booking then questioned the price I was paying like she was saying I had altered the price on the paperwork by the time we had sorted it there were seven or eight people waiting for there keys or to book in and it was an embarrassment I felt that I was being told off and even though she had to go into the office to ask someone about it twice and do copies of my paperwork she never asked the person to come and help give keys out or help her she made them all wait she was rude and very unhelpful and after booking in it was very hard for her to speak to me again when asking for my key when we came in later. we were told breakfast was 8 till 10 we went at 9.30 and they were clearing away the waitress said its till 9.30 we did manage to get the hard eggs left the bits of bacon sitting in all the two hours fat in the bottom of the tray and the two sausage left hard and floating too but the beans were ok , the cornflakes ect had been cleared away but we did well the 8-10 who came in after us got nothing and they had been told 10am too. The towels in the bathroom were that thin and holey that I wouldnt even use them on cleaning my car but the room was clean warm and bed very comfortable. We will go back there again as I have used the Metropole before and like the position of it, they just need to lean their staff that when we ask for something we want help on getting the answer not raised voice and treating you like a child , If you can not do your job to the manner others would like you to do it give up there are plenty of people out there with manners and are helpful

This hotel is located in a great place; other than that it has several improvements to make. The TV doesn't work, no phone in the room or nearby corridor and no customer service.... had such a bad overnight stay, didn't even take breakfast. It is cheap but not cheerful.

The mold in shower room could be removed quite easily . The room was small and dark one wonders in the push for saving power, whether it will lead to more people going blind. The views of dirty roofs only. With only one small chairapart from bed not to comfortable Amitted for a further £20 per night proable a better room could have had obtained

My family and i were given rooms facing the Nellie Deans & Sanuk Clubs, you can hopefully imagine our shock that one of the clubs did not close until 4.30am, and then for another 30mins after it became a taxi rank right outside our windows, so we were not getting asleep until after 5pm. When we should of been out enjoying Blackpool we were catching up on our sleeep. It is certainly the worst experience Ihave had in a Grand Hotel and it has put us of coming to one again

Dinner was only seved until 7.45pm which we felt was too early to close. Food was buffet style with no a la carte which was disappointing. Still has an aura of Billy Butlin about the dining arrangements - lots of room for improvement here.

I had a great weekend at the Metropole Hotel, all the staff were very friendly and helpfull. The meals were great, choices where limited to three main meals but that was ok as the quality and choice was excellent, full English was provided with the choice of those health alternatives of cearel, fruit and yogurts. The room was spacious and clean although a bit tired. Looking around you could see refurbishment taking place (which did not affect are stay). Didn't see the entertainment as we where out visiting the sights of Blackpool and we had booked a show at the Winter Gardens (great night out). The hotel was well situated, on the sea front with lovely views, seating area outside or you could view the scenery from conservatory. Yes I would return to this relaxing hotel, within a stones throw of the hustle and bustle of Blackpool life.

Provided adequate accommodation in a good central position. Meals served in buffet style were very good, plentiful and tasty. Hotel itself would benefit from some TLC in the decor department a bit of refurbishment would restore to its former glory.
