On arrival I did worry somewhat by the gruff nature of the welcome from the front desk staff but brushed it off. When we got into our room we noticed that the air conditioning was not working so I asked the same person at the front desk to investigate for us whilst we were out. We came back a few hours later, asked the staff member did they look at our air conditioning and they said no, it was off because the air conditioning only comes on at certain hours but it is on now so will be working when we go to our room. We accepted that, fair enough to not have the air con on all day whilst people are out and about the city. However when we got to our room of course our air con was not functioning. I rang down to reception and asked someone to take a look at it, I was told that a maintenance man would be with us in 20 minutes. An hour passes and they send up a hotel porter to flick a few switches and confirm that yes the air con is not actually working. So he then says they will get an actual maintenance man to check it. Another hour passes and he shows up, messes with a few things but does not get it working. We ask to move rooms but this can't be done until the next day as the hotel is full! So next day the staff begrudgingly move us to another room and thankfully the air con is working. Problems over...or so we thought as it seems that the air con is rationed to certain hours of the night too so it will shut down at 12am and not come on again until 7am and also has only one power setting-low, not acceptable in Summer when it is very hot at night. Our new room was also at the front of the hotel on a busy road at all hours so the noise of the traffic plus the heat combined to make sleeping very uncomfortable. On a plus, location is great and rooms were clean. But very rude staff, road noise and poor air con makes this a hotel one to avoid.

We didn't had a great experience as it was very warm in the weekend in April when we stayed and the hotel reception did not want to start the AC. They said that the AC is started later in May. The location is good as its close to Collossum.

great place to stay. Best to purchase items away from the sites.

The Hotel was convenient to all the sites and especially to the Metro; which we took around the city in lieu of walking. Breakfast was free and accommodating. Other than the overcooked eggs, the menu was fine. Friendly front desk personnel.

Decent 4star hotel within few minutes walk from Cavour Metro station. Could also walk to Colosseum in 10-15mins. Bus stop within a stone-throw from hotel. Lots of shops and eatery nearby. Room and WC is modern and clean above average. Breakfast is excellent. Very helpful staff. Road noise is minimal even though situated on a busy road. Would recommend this hotel.
