Grand Hotel lives up to its name very aristrocatic we felt as if we were transformed to the glamour of the 1940's. when elizabeth taylor starred in the "elephant walk" . staff was very friendly and polite, food was fabulous. he indian restaurant across the street was great, although the rooms were old very comfortable and clean. the gardens of the hotel was out of this world the surroundings were spectacular. those who love a cofortable part of history must visit this it should be a national historic mark. can't wait to go agin

Old world charm. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We booked into one New Years Eve function - but decided to relocate to the other and the staff could not be more helpful in facilitating this. Highly recommended.

Lovely old fashioned hotel, and rather than air conditioning, a heater was provided (and used) here. The supper club in the basement provided an excellent meal on Saturday night. We would definitely go back and stay for 3 or 4 nights.

Nice old-style colonial hotel with good atmosphere. Excellent restaurant in basement (golf wing). Another good restaurant in other wing. Unfortunately no pool.
