Location
On the central western side of the lake, the Grand is ideally placed for visiting both the quieter northerly resorts, and south towards Cernobbio and Como. The resort of Mennagio is idyllic with impressive villas and boutiques. For visitors arriving by train the hotel is a short distance from the station.
Rooms
Guests at the Grand can choose from a range of room types including those with balcony and lake view. However, all 94 rooms and suites feature satellite TV, air conditioning, mini-bar and hairdryer.
Restaurant
La Veranda is the hotel's romantic terrace restaurant overlooking the garden, and the Clio restaurant is the refined indoor option serving healthy and mouthwatering cuisine. The Leda is where guest can enjoy a buffet breakfast.
General

Very expensive hotel with a not so friendly staff

This was a beautiful hotel in an amazing location. The staff we extremely friendly.

We got 2 rooms on the top floor which only have 5 inches width and 3 feets in lengh which we could not see much outside. and the smell of food that cooking from the kitchen stay in the rooms for all times. Air-condition not working very well. We ask if we could change the rooms but the attitude of staff were not very helpful (that's what we pay for!) Only good staff is the Porter which is very helpful apart from that nothing we miss and definitely not going back.

staff lovely, very helpful and friendly. very relaxing and peaceful place.The views across the lake, other little villages around the lake and the snow capped mountians are stunning,a most romantic place!! can't wait to return!.
