A splendid old building and sumptuous reception rooms. Rooms large and delightfully old-fashioned. A lot of darrk red everywhere. Bathrooms not very practical, no towel racks, but perfectly modern. We love this place as it is next to the opera and wonderfully located.

Very comfortable and friendly, helpful staff. Great location and surprisingly quiet for a city centre.

2nd time I stayed in this hotel, first time was satisfactory. This time my room was literally falling apart, shower just a tube... water in lavatory running all night, no minibar and rubbish bins had not been emptied which begs the question had the room been cleaned? In any case the overall presentation of the room very questionable. Pity as location of the hotel great but will definitely not be staying there again. When mentioning this at the reception the next morning, I was given the business card of the hotel manager which goes to show how concerned they are about customer satisfaction!
