Arrived on the last RER out of CDG. After navigating to the hotel from Gare du Nord, with some drunks along the way, we were greeted by the grouchiest hotel staff I've come across. First words of greeting: THE DOOR!!! Of course we had trouble closing the door after lugging our luggage around. Rude and grumbly, he asked for my surname and proceeded to give me the key. While we were trying to make our way up to our room in the impossibly small elevator, he came around, not to help, but to glare at us for making too much of a ruckus. Overall, room was ok but totally let down by the rudest hotel staff I've met in my travels thus far.

This hotel is well located, adjacent to Gare D'Lest. Rooms are very dated and poorly appointed. It's star rating should be no more than one and a half stars. Would not stay there again.

The building is dated although there is a small lift - indeed, the smallest lift we've encountered. The hotel is one block from Gare d'Est, which can be convenient when traveling by high speed train but the area is noisy especially if windows need to be left open to cool the room. While it is a direct walk to the centre of Paris, it is a fare distance although all the forms of city travel are close by.

This is my second time I've been to this Hotel. I simply have nothing to complain about. English is spoken but one little bit of advice to travellers to France. A little bit of French and politesse helps a lot to make your stay happier still.

Located 2 minutes walk from the Gard De l'Est metro station, and about 45 minutes walk to the louvre. Room appeared to have been recently refurbished and the bathroom was very nice. The room was a nice size compared to previous paris hotels used, however still no fridge, kettle etc, WiFi available for a cost.

Yes a minor thing for otherwise an excellant hotel...the light bulbs are low in output and what complicated matters they are covered in perforated metal, hence I had to put all lights on to have a comfortable reading level...with energy savings bulbs the wattage could be increased considerable. The staff were just great & I will go back.

A very small room with extremely odd decor - quite run down, but nice staff and a convenient location. Would probably stay somewhere else next time though.

Although we were intitially given the keys to a room which had somebody elses belongings in there this was quickly recitfied and although the hotel is basic, the decor slightly aged, the price, the location and the character that this lends meant that it was perfect if you just want a base from which to explore the city. I would say that the bathroom light switch made a slightly disconcerting arcing noise and had to be pressed several times before it would actually work.

This was a very accomodating hotel in Central Paris basically across the road from Gard De L'est and 5 minutes from Gard De Nord. We arrived at the hotel at 9.20am after flying for nearly 24 hrs from Australia and were completely exhausted. The very friendly receptionist said we could take a seat in the lounge area and they would prepare our room immediately so we could have a shower and rest. We stayed there for 3 nights. Breakfast was served and included in the price and the staff were always very friendly.

One of the few hotels with rooms large enough for 2 adults and 2 or more kids. Cafes nearby and next to a major metro to get into the city quickly and easily. Services are very basic but the staff were friendly and the breakfast very pleasant. Basic but pleasant room that was priced very well for the 4 of us.

An eccentric hotel, with good amenities in an excellent location. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a City Centre Paris Hotel on a budget.

Excellent hotel and location for a short break in Paris. My room was very clean in contrast to some of the reports that I read about this hotel on the Internet. Breakfast was good quality (especially the coffee) but a bit short in choice compared to some other hotels I have stayed in.

Very close to the metro so ideally located. The sloping floor in the room was a bit dangerous. Staff were friendly and breakfast was fine. The lift was the size of an upright coffin. You get what you pay for with budget hotels. Despite its shortcomings I think it perfectly ok as a cheap and cheerful option,

Very nice and calm parisian hotel almost in the center of Paris. Perfectly situated right above the 3 different metro lines and also 5m from the nearest bus stop. I had stayed there for three times now and I would not change. The staff was always very nice and helpful.
