Grand Hotel De La Reine Amelie les Bains Guest Reviews
Set in a beautiful setting in a river valley 15 kms from the Spanish border and about the same from Perpignan. This is easily the best hotel we have ever stayed at these prices. Restaurant is excellent, and plenty of parking. An easy walk into the pretty little village centre. Strongly recommended.

Having read the previous reviews weren't sure we'd made right choice. Once there however we were in a superior room which was very comfortable, huge bed, spa bath, balcony. Food was good, though not top notch, and competitively priced. All staff were very helpful and friendly. You may struggle if you speak no French. Only complaint was they let a guest bring their dog into the dining room which they then fed from the table, disgusting and unhygenic!

The hotel was fine, clean and the rooms were comfortable but the hotel looks like it has seen better days. It is in need of a full refurbishment and appears to be stuck in a timewarp. Cannot fault the fabulous mountain views from the bedrooms though. Spectacular.

Hotel very tired, needs refurbishment. Bedroom very spacious with nice view out of balcony; had been recently decorated but furniture very dated. Breakfast very poor, no hot food and no staff around. Hotel largely empty when we stayed in April, only two chambermaids! Smell of food pervaded whole place - not brilliant. As for location - bit like the land that time forgot...

not all hotel rooms are renovated and beds and showers are of poor standard in some rooms.
