Grand Hotel Adriatico Florence
4 out of 5

Location is perfect: near to railway and bus station, not far from the historical center (nice to have different walk routes to the center places). Good breakfest, missing only fresh vegetables. Everything works, special thanks to the cleaning ladies.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside it is a grand old hotel. Its a little past its prime but clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. The included breakfast buffet is excellent. The location is great. Walking distance to the river, consulate, train station and car rentals. I would stay there again if in Florence. There is a very nice local restaurant across the street.

The hotel staff are all very friendly and this is a real stand out from our 3-week stay in Italy. The room is cosy and well-appointed. Location is handy if you are going to take a few day trips out of the city, as it is just 5-minute walk to the train station. Pricing is average considering it is not a modern 4-star hotel.

Near to train station but quite a long walk to other parts of the city attractions. Room is pretty small and a bit pricy for the two days of my stay. Breakfast quality is basic compared to the other hotels that I have stayed in Italy.

Hotel staff friendly and extremely helpful. The location - about 5 mins walk from the train and bus stations - was excellent for us as we used it as a base for day trips. About 10-15 mins walk to main attractions - fine in the am but hard on the feet after a long day's sightseeing/shopping.

This hotel was very nice, the room pleasant and quiet, and all the staff were very helpful. The location was very convenient for the station and not too far from the main tourist attractions; there are several reasonably priced restaurants nearby. The buffet breakfast (which was included in our booking) was good and the dining room very comfortable. Our only criticism was the music played at breakfast time ;it was far too loud!!

Excellent location to view the atractions of central Florence. Very clean and in a quiet location. Good food available to suit all budgets in the areas adjacent to the hotel. Also very close to the main railway station which has coach and train (very good and very cheap) links for onward travel. I would certainly stay here again if I return to Florence in the future.

The twin beds are terrible at this place!! Really difficult to get a good night's sleep on them. However, the sheets and hand towels are of very high quality. There's a very good cheap restaurant (filled with locals every night) down the street (Tratoria Marione).
