Grand Court Hotel Jerusalem
4 out of 5

My parents and myself stay here for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. The buffet breakfast and dinner has a huge variety. Rooms where clean and spacious. One thing I was disappointed in, was you are out all day touring in the heat and you would like nothing else but to come back and have a swim only to find out the pool is closed at 5 pm. That was upsetting.

To pay in the 4-stars hotel for an internet connection USD 8 without possibility to print anything you need, as a hotel guest, is not good service . It should be free of charge(in the city I have paid 1 USD) or less. However location is very good, just a walking distance of the Old City.

Very good hotel. Although lots of children staying at the hotel - so bit noisy. Rooms very clean and well maintained. Excellent variety buffet breakfast.

A lovely place to stay. Excellent staff, unbelievable breakfast and an excellent price. The gift shop had very reasonable prices. No complaints. I mistakenly got a smoking room but was immediately moved to a non-smoking one. Very friendly security men and would definitely return.

Overall the hotel is pretty good. It's clean and the location is not too far from the Old City -- it's walking distance but it will still take about 15-20 minutes to get to the Jaffa Gate at the Old City. It's popular for tour groups to use. Note: If you plan on eating dinner there during Shabbat, make sure you do so by 8pm. I'd recommend the Grand Court Hotel Jerusalem and would stay there again. It's a lot nicer than [other hotel], which cost 75% more than the Grand Court Hotel Jerusalem. Safety-wise, as a single female traveller, I had no problems if you practice the usual precautions of not going about too late and sticking fairly close to the hotel. If you're renting a car, I believe they have free parking. Sherut pricing to/from the Ben Gurion Airport is NIS45, NIS250 for a taxi (though I think locals only pay NIS160).

Nice, clean hotel not far from the old town (10 minutes walking) nice and friendly staff. The only minus is the kitchen - everything is kosher that means that you will not get a single piece of meat or sausage for breakfast. As 72% of tourist visiting Israel are non Jewish they could make a small effort.
