We have stayed at this Hotel 4/5 times in the last few years and each time have enjoyed the spacious rooms and large beds. The Hotel is easy to get to any place you would wish to go with the aid of Taxis which are very cheap. We arrived after 1.30am from Dubai, there was no welcome or acknowledgement when we were checking in and in fact we felt like we were a nuisance, maybe the fact that we were not in Business attire could have been the problem but we had just come from 42 degrees in Dubai and were addressed appropriately.NO information was given as to how to get to the room,(luckily we knew) but certainly not to the Hotels normal standard, check out was a similar experience

Rooms have seen better days but is good enough given its price. Away from hustle & bustle. A short enjoyable walk away from Robertson Quay

The check-in was hassle free and the lady at the counter was very helpful. Her friendliness and efficiency makes the check-in process enjoyable. We were offered a complimentary upgrade in the room and late check-out. They even gave us a small signature cake as it was one of the guest's birthday. Room was a bay view room and spacious. We are overall satisfied with the room. Bed was clean and comfortable (although it could have been slightly firmer). Offered requested ad-hoc service to help us keep a cake refridgerated. Only hiccup was that it was a slightly more troublesome when trying to retrieve the cake upon check-out. Still managed to retrieve the cack back in the end - so all works out well! It was easy to get to Robertson and Clarke Quay from this hotel and there is also direct bus to get into Orchard. Very convenient location. Only thing is that this is not in the vicinity of any MRT station. Overall, very satisfied and will consider it again for the next booking.

Stayed for a 4 day conference in an executive room and had a pleasant experience. Friendly and efficient staff at every turn, and largish room was ultra clean and functional, although the decor was a little dated. Nice linen and large marble bathroom. Nice gym that whilst on the smaller side was never too busy, and reasonable if unspectacular pool. Paid extra for the executive package which included access to the executive lounge, evening cocktails, non-alcoholic minibar internet and 2 pieces laundry/day, which i thought good value given the price we had paid. Location not the best for a leisure traveller as its a little far from the major sights and public transport.

The buffet breakfast spread is good with various choice of food including Japanese. Rooms are clean, and location are short distance from Orchard road. However, the staff at the concierge is not helpful at all.

We stayed in room 2923 for 2 nights and we would not stay in this hotel again. I noticed that parts of the hotel are/have been upgraded but the room that we were in was old and tired. Also from a size perspective they are small rooms and will stay small regardless of how polished they look. The room had all the appointments that a five star room should have with the marble in the bathroom ironing board and bathrobes etc. Unfortunately, these points do not make it a 5 star room if the carpet is worn and filthy. I mean filthy, not just dirty but black and discoloured. It was so dirty that we didn't want to walk on it in bare feet. The skirting board were badly kicked around with lots of black marks there was also some damage on the the walls. The valance on the bed was also filthy and this is something that is easy to clean. The quality of the towels were variable. On one day one towel was plush and the other towel was thin and frayed, something I would use in washing my car rather than providing to a 5 star hotel client. The room was also very small and tight and nothing like the pictures on their site. Conversely, they have used a really wide angle lens to have the room appear much larger than the actual. It's the total package we pay for when we stay in a hotel and in this case the total package fell way short. So in a nut shell there is no way I would stay at this hotel again and further would and will warn anybody against using this hotel as I am sure there are many better hotels at comparable prices available.

I've been coming to Singapore for work for some years and its the first time I've stayed at this hotel. Overall a good experience, I found the breakfast area open to the foyer to be unfortunate and subpar for this level of hotel. The location is picturesque on the riverfront side and convenient for dining, walks, and frankly nothing is far in Singapore anyway. However, for business travelers, its not the most convenient place either. I had to wait a bit for a taxi, for example. The price was lower on the night I stayed there so it was good value for money.

Overall we had a great 4 days at the Grand Copthorne. Our room was terrific with a great view of the river and the Singapore Flyer in the distance. We could walk to dinner one night to a quayside restaurant, but the hotel is not close to the MRT so we also needed to take cabs frequently to get out for touring. The executive lounge is okay, comfortable with a good view and friendly staff, but not a large selection of appetizers during cocktail time.

We are shoppers and Hotel is too far away from the action. You need to catch cabs (taxi's are cheap and no hassles in Singapore). Bit stingy on giving 1 bar of soap for 3 people. Other wise hotel is genuine 4 star and staff pleasant. Reported a blown light and they had it fixed by the time we returned that day - good result.

We had booked a Club room, the room was very dated and badly in need of renovation, so we were transfered to the next catagory of room, that was better as it had a seperate shower and two easy chairs. We were told that all rooms were in the process fo renovation. The location of the hotel is very scenic, with the opportunity of walks along the river, but not convienient for the MRT, so it meant paying for plenty of taxis, average cost to most areas $6. We found the staff in the executive club and the duty managers to be very helpful and professional.

We booked a triple room but on arrival were upgraded to a serviced apartment. The only negative regarding the accommodation is the location which is a little way from the main tourist areas and there is no metro nearby. However, it only takes about 15 minutes to walk to Chinatown and taxis are readily available. We were very happy with the accommodation and would use it again.

We spent three nights at this hotel. I cannot say the room was grand in size but quite adequate. We had breakfast daily which was good value. You need to get a taxi from this area, but taxi's are very reasonable and most tours pick up and deliver you back to hotel. If was a lovely walk along the riverside past the many hotels where it is peaceful during the day and comes to life at night. The whole Singapore experience was wonderful.
