Very relaxing stay in Adelaide. Comfortable Hotel with very friendly staff. Within walking distance of the Glenelg Tram amd some discount restaurants (on corner of Pulteney Street). Good value for money.

We travelled from Ballart in Victoria to Adelaide in the one day and were quite tired upon our arrival at The Grand Chiefly. The staff at the counter treated us very well and when we got to our room we were unable to get the air conditioning nor the T/V working. One short phone call to reception and the matter was attended to within 5 mins. The hotel is close to nearly a tourist wants And the free tram is just a short walk away. Pity the temperature during our stay was 42c. My rating Very very good.

This is not close to being a 4 star hotel with hotel dated. Parking is limited with staff advising to park car on street. Pool mentioned is on adjoining hotel. For price it was adequate. Food ordered was fine. Staff not very helpful.

Comfortable, clean but disappointing. Lacking in facilities; no gym, pool, spa. Balcony was dirty and view of rubbish accumulated on tin roof below was not pretty. Food in restaurant was very average for our Xmas dinner. TV reception was dismal, with periods of no reception at all, and no digital channels. There were three of us staying in the room but only two cups, two glasses. Staff members were friendly and location was okay, just a pleasant walk into town centre. Excellent cafe/supermarket 5-minutes walk from hotel on Gilles street for breakfast.
