Grand Chancellor Hotel Launceston Guest Reviews (151)
This hotel is centrally located, has friendly staff and is well serviced. The rooms are large and there is decent room service, broadband and films. The broadband is massively overpriced, though v. fast and reliable. The rooms are retro-fitted with individual air-conditioning units, which make a lot of noise. I couldn't sleep with it on, & found myself too hot at night, as I visited during a hot spell. A restaurant staffer was rude to me but everyone else I encountered from reception, to housekeeping, were friendly and helpful.

The photos on websiteis different to the rooms we actually got and upgrade cost was required to get the room showed on the site.

Not very friendly and staff needs to be more helpful. Did early check in and was asked to drop all the luggage using their trolley to isle next to the reception, no courtesy help nothing

It advertised new beds, decor etc. but must of missed our room. Every other place we stayed in Tasmania we got free Wi-Fi but here you had to pay, so went to local McDonald s restuarant & got free Wi-Fi The amount you have to pay to stay at this hotel you would think that also could give you free Wi-Fi. Lift would not work sometimes, So would get out & use 2nd.lift. Dining was also expensive so went elsewhere. Regards Tony van Schooten
