Grand Borneo was the perfect tourist hotel, as it was connected to the largest & newest shopping centre in Borneo, with many shops and restaurants, and beauty day spas. It also had free shuttle service to Kota Kinabalu town centre. The hotel also provided a great breakfast and dinner buffet. The pool was also great as it was under cover, therefore was very refreshing to come back to after a big morning of sightseeing, & and was long to enable a good swim for laps. The hotel has also been recently refurbished (2009) so is like brand new.

Was not informed in advance that we need to pay for connecting rooms. Rooms were also a bit small. Hotels a bit far from City and although free shuttle provided it was a bit inconvenient when there are small children following. Overall nice hotel.
