Great place to stay if not interested in night life but even than it is possible to go by free shuttle bus. Liked the balinese style, very friendly people, super breakfast buffet. Very accommodating.

A rather worn and somewhat dated hotel room with no working air-conditioner during a very hot period despite attempts to patch it up (should have been replaced a number of years ago). Staff very friendly and food more than adequate. Location is good but a wee way (approx 8km) from the main tourist areas with a limited shuttle service with no return facility necessitating a taxi fare to return.

the hotel was rated as 4 star but 3 star would be more accurate. It is located right on the beach which is great but you need to catch a taxi to get to main shopping and dinning areas, although you could walk along the beach, but there is no path. It is well priced and peace full, but not a lot of activities . It was very quiet when we visited and i can imagine the pool area would be very crowded if the hotel was full. The beach has a strong current and waves but there is one life guard on duty all day.

Grand Balisani looks really beautiful. The pool area is lovely and it's a very rustic building with a lot of charm. Staff are very firendly and cannot do enough to help. It is in a little village so there are not many amenities nearby and the hotel only has one restaurant. You can walk along the beach to Ku De Ta the famous bar but other than that you need to take a taxi into Seminyak or Kuta. If you ask them to put their meter on it shouldn't cost much, certainly not to Seminyak so you can have the relaxation and seclusion of the hotel but still eat at nice places and shop. The hotel offer a free shuttle bus to Kuta but not a return service-you have to reserve in advance so not for people who like to do things on spec. I would stay in Seminyak next time to find a balance between vibrant Kuta and relaxation, or rather go to Lombok for true relaxation, but it is a lovely hotel.
