Our ten day holiday to the Aston Bali hotel was to say the least disappointing. Superficially the facilities appear ok, however as we tried and used the Hotel facilities all was exposed. Now to be fair the hotel is in the middle of renovations, a new cafe/ breakfast area and rooms are being done. so if you enjoy holidaying in a building site, along with the constant banging, then this hotel may well be for you. To drown out the noise the hotel played loud music around the pool, which helped a little but was not very restful. The Pool area and location looks fantastic, beautiful views of the ocean. The water was dull with slippery growth which was dangerous under foot. The rooms looked dated and tired, but as I stated, renovation were in progress. We booked into a deluxe sea view room, but the sea view required looking over the very low balcony to the left. Not my experience of a sea view. we would have put up with that, but the view of the rubbish below was too much and we complained. A room looking over the gardens and pool area was an improvement. Next morning we went for breakfast which was being served in 'Georgio' restaurant. The temperature was very very hot and uncomfortable, despite the use of many fans which just blew the hot air around. The food I'm so sorry to say was the biggest disappointment, it was so disorganised, nothing was in order or placed where it should go. e.g. poured a coffee and the milk wasn't there. The lack of and quality was by far the worst we have ever experienced in any hotel throughout the world. The service was poor and on two different days, the staff told us they had run out of tea bags. Lack of training and supervision. I must state that restaurants and cafes throughout Bali were fantastic, superb food superb service, excellent value. We selected venues that looked nice from the road and were not once disappointed. The hotel was in a quiet location, with mini marts, massage parlours and restaurant close by. We found it better to get a taxi or free shuttle bus to Kuta, as there was much more to see and not too busy. Overall we had a great holiday, but we wished we had chosen a different hotel

Staff very helpful when our luggage didn't arrive with us, desk staff made phone calls for us to follow it up.Hotel on beach but coral under the water so not able to swim there as we couldn't walk on the rough ground. Pool was lovely. All staff very friendly and helpful when needed.

Nice resort facilities and lovely room with view. Away from the busy part of Bali. Lots of restaurant and bars close by but all close early so good for families/couples. Staff very friendly but no good at table/poolside service. had to get up and order and sometimes collect drinks. Tables were not cleared very often at all. Everything else very good.

Hotel has lots of facilities like pool table, table tennis, pool basket ball, nice gym and lots of cozy seats around the pool and the beachside. Ideal for honeymoon or a relaxing holiday . For actions, there's lots of sea sports activities available just along the beach stalls. Not for those looking for nightlife.

I would like to say that it was a great resort to stay and the staff was friendly! We have a huge deluxe room with a big bath tub. The buffet breakfast come with lots of choices and the taste was good enough. I like to recommend the Biwana Spa at the resort, the massage make us really relaxing and we have enjoy the environment in a couple room. The price is reasonable come with the resort voucher.

Overall the hotel is very clean and big. Hotel staff very helpful. However, the buffet breakfast is not so good. Very limited choices and boring. I am sure they can do better.

Good hotel with nice facilities. Unfortunately, we were first placed in a room with moisty/ funghi smell (situated in the basement level) Second room (third floor) was excellent. Although a 4/5 star hotel, you had to pay extra for nearly everything (WIFI/ internet/ prints/ interactive TV).

Good shuttle service to Kuta although places are few due to small bus. Hotel facilities are a bit old and need to be upgraded. When we moved from Aston to [other hotel], we could feel the difference with [other hotel]being newer and more contemporary.

Nice location with the beach just in front of you. The facitlities were slightly old though and the renovation work was a little irritating.

We were upgraded to a suite as all the connecting rooms were occupied. That was very nice with 2 LCDs and a small jacuzzi-like tub. The beach is very beautiful and clean with a long stretch of shallow water in the mornings. My family iwth 2 kids enjoyed this very much. But if you prefer shopping and some night life then better to go for Kuta area.

Should be prompt on the room availability during check in time. The internet should be free as it's high rated hotel. The break-fast must make available as stated time. The access to the beach could be improve. Others are alright.

When I first checked in, they gave me a room with a view of the next door building zinc roof, which was not impressive at all. But after some requests, they transferred me to another one which has the garden view. Balcony is cosy! LOVED it. Breakfast was ok but was a little tired with the variety after 4 days of eating there. As for service, it was ok. Spa was good. I think the 50min traditional massage is very value for money. I have also enjoyed the beach. It's quiet and not crowded which was what i was looking for. Location is a little inconvenient but they have free twice a day shuttle to Kuta. (11am and 3pm). There are also plenty of restaurant just opposite the hotel. And you can also get basic groceries from the shops along the road too. All walking distance! I think I can say that I hv generally enjoyed my stay @ Aston and would consider going back there again. p/s: Taxi from the airport to hotel costs Rp90,000 but you can get it for Rp65,000 from hotel.

The beach is build into the hotel facility, so it is easy to enjoy sea sport, the beach or using the lovely build hotel swimming pool. The hotel spa facility is great, it cost around $100 SIN or $60 US to enjoy full 3 hours spa service, must cheaper than a 2 hours massage only treatment in Thailand.
