We arrived at 11pm having notified the hotel of our late check in. when we were shown our room the bell hop asked us "How do you like the room?" My reply was "The room is nice but it's not what we booked, we booked an apartment". Return to lobby to readjust. Then find out the apartments are not in the main hotel but are reached by walking across the car park which is less than convenient in the rainy season when you are travelling with a baby. Anyway, we arrived at the apartment and waited for the baby bed to arrive. When it did it unfortunately did not come with anyone who knew how to put it together. Finally someone came to assemble it and fast forward to the next day when we headed out shopping - chose the hotel because of the great location close to Orchard. When we arrived back at the apartment the ceiling was leaking in the living room. An hour later a woman arrived with a mop which was inadequate for the amount of water on the floor and in the soaked rug. Then I made a trip to the lobby and asked to be moved to another apartment which was done. The replacement apartment had no hot water I could go on but let's just say I would not stay there again. The apartments are sold as being part of a 5 star hotel which they are as far as they are located in the hotel grounds but they are far from 5 star standard

Hotel is very pleasant and charming. Room was spacious for downtown location. Room was very comfortable with firm bed, clean sheet and towels. Location was extremely convenient within the public transportation. Lots of shopping and restaurants within the vicinity.

On arrival taken to our room but external off site noise was very loud so we were given a poolside suite and assisted to move. Staff most helpful . Room service fast and enjoyable.

This was the 2nd time we had stayed here, and likely not our last. It's convenient to everything. It's very comfortable in the nice clean large rooms. Food isn't the cheapest but there is plenty of choice around. This was the last hotel of our world trip and surprisingly the only one that didn't have free wi-fi. Anyway, with the staff so friendly and helpful, there's not much that can be improved.

Goodwood Park may be an old hotel, but it is in perfect shape. My wife and I had a very pleasant week here. It is a few hundred meters walk to the Metro and to Orchard Road. Maybe this could be a reason to create a footpath to the sidewalk at Scotts Road.
