Goldkist Beach Resort Singapore Guest Reviews
The resort is run-down circa 1980's. Water in bathroom did not drain away. Restaurant was closed at 7.30pm. Excellent location. Poor value for the price.

Hotel tired and a bit run down. Fair way from city but close to airport on beach with a big pool. Reception area not air conditioned and very hot

The property is nice - overlooking the beach and with chalet-like rooms, privacy is guaranteed. Unfortunately, room booking was messed-up - booked and paid for Beach View but was given Garden View and only after much ado, was upgraded to a Suite (which was very nice of the management). As the property covers a lot of ground, not recommended if you have young children and a lot of luggage. But perfect for single travelers or couples with few things 'cos the lobby is very far from the rooms. Also, everyone should be warned - the rooms have no phones so if you need anything, you have to either take a long walk to the lobby or call from your mobile, which I found very strange.

A bit like a summer camp in need of some new paint, but if you need a place fairly close to Changi Airport for a day or two, this isn't bad. An easy stroll along the beach path will get you to the East Coast Seafood Centre. Staff were very welcoming. I cuoldn't find a switch to turn off one of the overhead lights in my room, and had to yank the room key card out of the master switch to darken the room (and so slept without AC).

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Unusual place to stay - basically typical hotel room but as individual "villa". We were upgraded to a "SUITE with a jaccuzi and spa" which sounded very exciting but turned out to be a standard room with a multi-function bath/shower unit and no more. Sadly when we stayed they had no facilities for changing travellers cheques. Having said all this we enjoyed our stay here and had the best meal of our holiday (particularly the fact that it was served HOT, a rarity in Singapore and Malaysia). They have a very talented and charming Indian Chef. We should be very happy to stay there again.
