We stayed here for 4 nights and we could rather have stayed on a hostel. We had a superior room on 7th floor. The window was in to the backyard were there was loud sound from fans ( prob. For the ventilation for the hotel). We ask the resepction about the room and all superior rooms is in to the backyard and in the same shape. The internett was extremly slow in the room. Faster at the reception area, but not that fast that it's worth the money. We went to internet cafe when we needed internet. The day we checked out we asked for airport shuttle, but the resepction guy said that they could not get a hold of the shuttlecompany so there was not more to do! Like it's only one shuttle company at rio. We ended up in a taxi. A overpriced old hotel. Would not recommend it to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Golden Tulip! We didn't realise on booking that the hotel is actually right on Copacabana beach so it was a lovely surprise. The staff were very friendly and personable, and always very helpful. They seemed very knowledgable about local activities that are going on and can arrange everything for you. The hotel itself was very modern and new, with lots of space in the rooms, and very clean. Would highly recommend!

the hotel is superbly located, the shower was very weak , but the maintence guy came and took off some kind or regulator, which made the shower much stronger. breakfast was pretty good, like most hotels i have stayed in in brasil they only have single glazing , so lower rooms on the front are a little bit noisy but not too bad..
