Location
Golden Tulip Mangosteen offers views of the bays and islands of the Andaman Sea. Within the vicinity are Rawai and Nai Harn towns along with their many bars and restaurants. Guests should not miss a visit to the Big Buddha and Phuket Chalong Temple.

Fabulous hotel, although may be difficult for guests with disabilities to get around the hotel as there are quite a few steps from the main entrance into the hotel and getting to the rooms. Views are lovely and staff are friendly. Large rooms.

This hotel is an oasis! If you want peace and quiet then this is the place for you. If, however you want nightlife and lots to do then give it a miss. We were exhausted and needed to rest and the Mangosteen fitted the bill perfectly. The staff were fabulous, the pool area was quiet, no worry about getting a sunbed - just perfect. The food was excellent (about uk prices) the spa excellent but a little pricey. All in all a great two weeks of perfect rest>

An excellent spot to relax and enjoy a break, lovely mannered and well trained staff, top class facilities. Not a place for fast paced entertainment, more a secluded romantic break away from "it all". It's a good walk to Ra Wai beach for lunch or dinner, which is far more casual than the Patong area.

First room (Superior garden) was dark smelly and had no view of the ocean. Staff did listen and upgraded to a better room (deluxe) which was pleasant enough. Restaurant was expensive and boring. Resort just seems like it has seen better days. All of this would not have been so bad in a cheaper place; this resort is definately overpriced.
