Golden Tulip Hotel Aqaba Guest Reviews
There were a number of problems with this hotel: 1. Fixtures etc,. were very shoddy and badly maintained e.g. the wardrobe door was falling off and the plug for the wash-basin in the bathroom didn't work. 2. Breakfast was poor and the room/tablecloths etc were unclean 3. staff were nice but badly trained - we had to ring three times to get towels - any towels - for the room. When they eventually arrived the staff gave us one towel - for two pewople and the whole process had to start again.

The hotel room was big but the bathroom was smelling bad all the time. When you see the pictures of the hotel on the internet, you expect something, but when you reach to the hotel, you are disapointed. The breakfast was very enjoyable. The pool was small for the hotel. Transportation was easy & the restaurants & market near the hotel. If I go again to Aqaba, I will choose a different hotel.

The hotel was quiet run-down and neither the swimming pool nor the top floor bar war functioning. Needs a major re-furbishment.

Good Location close to center of city restaurants and local shops , the breakfast is not good , typical limited middle east variety, but hot food was cold , they do not light the warmers under the food containers, only of value as it was included in tariff. Rooms clean and all staff are very helpful . Do not expect the luxury of the Movenpick or Intercon, which are further from the town centre . But as a base for travelling around the area , a good mid priced hotel .

There are very few hotels in Jordan that operate a non-smoking policy, this one had a policy for the rooms but did not enforce it of their staff or in the public areas. We had to request additional towels every day, despite checking in as a couple, they would only leave one. The cleaning was a bit suspect, but it was quiet - we didn't hear the mosque, unlike in Petra where it sounded like it was IN our room!
