There was horrible noise in the room due to parties organized in building in front and contact construction work both at hotel site and on the road. Rooms were filthy and with ultra thin walls. Toilet's of adjacent rooms are basically communicating from the ceiling (only a wooden frame separates them). Everything could be heard. Corridors of the hotel smelled urine. Elevators were very very slow, especially in the morning. Forget any sleep if you book this place Staff was OK although spoke very poor English.

We enjoyed our stay at the Golden Tulip Continental. The location is just a short block from the beach so it was convenient as well as safe. We would recommend this hotel to others and we certainly were pleased with the good price we found thru [your website].

Spent 8 nights here and had a good experience. Good clean rooms, friendly staff with good facilities. Buffet at the restaurant only costs about £10. Nice location for the swimming pool on the top floor. The hotel is about 1min to the beach and some rooms do have great views of the beach. Also you can catch glimpse of Corcovado and maybe sugarloaf from the swimming pool area. The faults i found were that they charge for using the safe in the room(although they didnt charge my friend on same floor) and also charge you for bringing guests into your room. The swimming pool is quite small and will only take about 4-5 people at a time without bumping into each other.Also the A/C made a lot of noise. However, overall, i will like to stay in the hotel again and will recommend it to friends
