Golden Lion Hotel Stirling Guest Reviews
Nice old style hotel in a great location. The bedrooms could probably do with some updating although they were spacious. Nice bar. Staff were not very friendly. Breakfast was very disappointing especially as the staff seemed to be helping themselves to the buffet before the breakfast room was cleared of guests. Staff starting vacuuming the breakfast room before we were finished - do not linger even a few minutes after the alloted time...!

Food on my stay was very good, much more character than you would get at the more expensive (but rather bland) [H...] Hotel. You must, must, must ask for a refurbished room - these are good for the price, whereas the non refurbished are shoddy (they are renovating all rooms but as they need to close off the floors to do so, it's taking time). Good location, but most central Stirling hotels are.

I have to mark down only on location as the hotel car park is virtually impossible to locate due to pedestrianised areas, one way streets and sat navs that can't get you there. I ended up paying at the local NCP and walking.

This is an excellent hotel, clean, good food and the service was great; I couldn't fault anything about it. Located in the centre of town a five minute walk from the rail station and ten from the castle. If you are visitng Stirling this is the hotel to stay in.

Very comfortable room followed by a good breakfast. The sausages were the only disappointing aspect.
