Golden Beach Hotel Cha Am Guest Reviews
Very roomy hotel. The reception and service was very helpful, as we book 2 rooms in separate booking, one was ok but the other one they couldn't find the booking on their system so they sorted out very quickly. The location was good, short distance walking to the beach. Breakfast was ok and a lot of selection. Definately will go back to stay with them again.

It was obvious that in the past this has been a fairly top range hotel. It is still a good hotel but requires some investment and renovation to bring it back to it`s former standard. The reception staff were "OK" but the rest of the staff, especially the porters were extremely pleasant and very helpful. If you require any local info or help with transport/taxi, go to the porters 1st. Although we only ate breakfast at this hotel the food was plentiful and of a very good standard. Ignore the fitness room as just a lot of equipement left in the corner near the pool.

The hotel was quiet. We have stayed there before. No-one wanted to carry our bags. The buffet breakfast was excellent. This time - no buffet. Not enough people - hmmm. I thought you paid for a service. Never mind, 9.30 pm we went back to the hotel for a drink. No bar open. Oh dear. Next time we will go down the road to the Methavali Hotel again. Ah well. You live and learn.

Room was spacious and clean, staff on the whole friendly, Buffet breakfast could have been better (warmer!!), but plenty of choice and average quality for Thailand. Annoyed that every night by the time I returned (about 12o'clock) the bar was already closed. Hotel was almost entirely full of 55+ age group Danish and Norwegian couples. Fairly good value for money, and only 100m from front door to beach and shops/resturants. Large underground car park.
