I booked 3 rooms for 4 nights at Golden Arches hotel (Cyprus) through book cyprus DOT com. 4 and 5 days after making the 2 reservations and receiving the confirmation and vouchers from book cyprus DOT com (1 for 1 room and 1 for 2 rooms) I received an email saying that hotel is overbooked and that the offer a hotel in another area at my own extra cost or cancellation. After I called them and said that other friends of me booked same type of rooms on the same hotel through X P e d i a UK after I received the confirmation/voucher from them they changed what they said and they proposed for me to cancel and book from other site or directly from the hotel at my extra cost. So they admitted that they lied about stating that hotel is overbooked. I contacted the Cyprus Consumers Association and Cyprus Tourist Organization and both say that they don't know how to deal with this issue because it is reservation over the Internet. Even now I can find same type of rooms for this period at this hotel but book cyprus DOT com wants to run away and cancel. The dates where for 23/02/2012-27/02/2012 for 3 twin inland view rooms bed and breakfast. I used book cyprus DOT com and stayed to this hotel about 10 times this year but I will never stay at Golden Arches or use book cyprus DOT com again in my life.

the rooms are quite old, especially the bathrooms. the room and bathroom were not very clean, the sheets were dirty. the aircondition was not working properly. one of the worst hotel I've ever been..

I've forgotten a pair of my underwear on the balcony. An hour after check-out I returned to pick them. The room was already cleaned, and there were no underwear. The person who cleaned the room stated she didn't find anything. I went on the corridor and took the underwear from the trashed things on a carriage. It was there. These were the only pair of them I had, so it was important for me.

Nothing really wrong with it. It was one of the cheaper ones that I found. The rooms are dingy and old. I'm guessing that is why the price was cheaper. I guess you get what you pay for.
