Location
Gokarna Forest Resort is within Gokarna Forest. Bairoling Monastry and Kapan Gumba are interesting places to explore nearby. Kathmandu International Airport provides the point of entry to and is located within the city proper.

There are 65 rooms in total which feature comfortable furnishings and contemporary interiors.
Guests choose from Courtyard View Rooms and Forest View Rooms, that are all equally beautiful.
Restaurant
Durbar Restaurant in Gokarna Resort showcases sumptuous local dishes and some international meals. The Hunter's Lodge is over a hundred and twenty years old. It has been carefully restored and now houses a quaint restaurant and bar and is opened on special occasions.

We stayed in Gorkana for 3 days in January 2011 and the facilities were excellent and the people were very friendly. I am confident that anyone visiting Kathmandu will enjoy staying there than most other hotels.

It is the best in Nepal yes but if you compare this hotel with other hotels in other countries this will not be 5 star hotel. Monkeys will not let you sleep in the night since the roof are made from wood or some other materials like the wood and they will start fighting in the night. The hotel is quit and far away from the city it will cost around 10USD to take you to the main town.
