Good value and convenient location. Very fast (and free) internet access.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. The rooms look new and recently renovated. This hotel was very convenient to night life and shopping. Surrounding area includes a wide selection of food carts (worth trying for adventurous westerners) and street vendors to Mitsukoshi and McDonalds- (shame on you). Hotel house staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet is a bit pricey, 517 NT$. The cash desk could not exchange Canadian currency to NT$, but there was a ICBC branch not too far away that offered better rates than any hotel could. Considering the town, the Gloria represents good value. I would stay there again.

This is my third stay at this hotel this year. The internet rate is excellent and the hotel is located only blocks from several 5 star hotels, ( The Formosa Regent, which has several great restaurants, The Nikko Hotel, & The Ambassador. It is a good business hotel that caters mostly to Japanese. so there is limited english spoken but the front desk was helpful.<br><br> It is very easy to get to the Hotel by taking the bus at the airport. It only cost about $3.50 US. Take the west line they have a stand at the airport.<br><br> Internet service is avaiable in each room or you can you use the computers in the business centre on the 4 th floor. Or there is an internet cafe across the street on the second floor. with a route map in English. Make sure you watch for your stop as the drivers speak little if no Eglish , Get off at the Ambassador Hotel and its a one block walk.

Very good recommendation for Taipei. Rooms are quite small but equipment was new.

Nicely appointed with splendid down pillows and comforter, but the bed is rock-hard. Request two extra pillows and make a mini-mattress. Bathroom fixtures are magnificent. Hotel food is awful. We had breakfast and dinner there and both were terrible. Nice gym, but not free for guests. And neither is Internet access. Two dollar local phone calls from your room. HBO and CNN. We thought it a good bargain at the Internet price.
