In the summer months, Wiesbaden has great temperatures, but the rain tends to fall often. Although rain is prominent, it does not create problems. With its popularity peaking in fall, Wiesbaden is the perfect place to visit and explore the many museums and landmarks. September through to the beginning of November is also great for outdoor activities and discovering nature. Winter in this German town is very cold and tends to stretch itself out over the months of November through April.

Getting There

Wiesbaden can be reached easily by plane through Frankfurt International Airport as well as the regional Frankfurt-Hahn Airport. As the second largest airport in continental Europe, Frankfurt is about 30 minutes away by train or car. Wiesbaden has a very efficient network of buses. Carrying about 150,000 passengers daily, the ESWE Verkehrs GmbH buses run every 10 minutes in Wiesbaden from the morning until the early evening.

By car, Wiesbaden has highways A 3, A 5 and A 61 that lead to the town. Within the Rhein-Main area, many of the highways connect Wiesbaden to the other cities in the region. These highways include the A 66 and the A 67.
