Passau Climate
The summer months of June to August are warm with highs around 23-25°C, while winter lows can dip to -5°C from December to mid-March. The wettest months are May through August, with 10-12 cm of total accumulation. Even though winters are drier, snow is common from November through February and possible even during the spring months.
Getting There & Around
A lot of tourists arrive on riverboat cruises to Passau, and many coach lines from Germany and Austria serve this town. Passau is also served by regional trains at the Hauptbahnhof, which is the last train station before the Austrian border.
Passau has a good and affordable public bus network, but a lot of attractions are within walking distance. Taxis are often overpriced.
