Muenster Climate

While locals may joke about constant rain in Muenster, its 76cm of annual rainfall is not unusual for Germany. Typical summer highs are around 21-22°C from June to August. Winter lows are -1 to -2°C from December to February, but snow is rare.

Getting There & Around

The Münster-Osnabrück Airport is only a half-hour drive from Muenster, whilst the train trip from the Düsseldorf International Airport is three times as long. The city is well connected to most major German cities through the rail and bus networks, and you can drive there via Autobahn 1 or 43.

Muenster's red-brick bike routes are used by more than 50,000 students in the city, making the entire town easily accessible to pedestrians. The city’s bus services run all day and night as well.
