From the 14th century Gothic spires of Saint Bartholomew's Cathedral to the Alte Oper, one of the most important opera halls in Europe, Frankfurt has a rich cityscape. The medieval Römer city hall is a marvel to behold and a walk around the beautiful central plaza, Hauptwache, is a must. Trips outside of Frankfurt to discover the scenic Rhine Main Region are well worth the effort.
