August and September are the most pleasant months to visit Erding and also when all of the beer gardens are open. Summers are warm with highs around 21-23°C from June to August, which are also the rainiest months with 10-12 cm of precipitation. Winter lows dip between -3 and -5°C, and snow is common from December to February and sometimes even in March.
Getting There & Around
S-Bahn trains service Erding from Munich, which is only 45 km away and has a large international airport. Autobahn motorways and extensive bus and coach services connect Erding to Munich and other large German cities, as well as many neighbouring towns.
Public transportation in the Munich area is extensive and efficient and includes buses, tramways and subways. Traffic is usually quite congested, especially on holidays.
