Boppard Climate

Boppard boasts a temperate seasonal climate; rainfall occurs throughout the year, so it is wise to carry a raincoat or umbrella no matter the season. During the summer months, the temperature can exceed 30ºC meaning that summer clothing is a must. Winters are mild, and it is during this time that the wearing of warm clothing is advisable.

Visitors to Boppard should ideally fly into Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, the nearest major airport. It is located 40 km from downtown and boasts all the facilities a tourist would expect from a major airport. The city is also served by Frankfurt am Main Airport, located 72 km from town.

The city has its own main railway station, Boppard Hauptbahnhof. InterCity, TransRegio and DB Regio Regional-Express trains use this railway station. Running through town is a long-distance highway, known as Bundesstraße 9, which grants tourists who have opted for car rentals easy access to main attractions.
