the single room i was given was a bit small but had a nice view overlooking a local pub. The wooden floors were a bit noisy. Overall it was a very good experience and i'm definatelly going back some time soon

unfortunatley we were given the wrong room to start with and then once in correct room we were in such a hurry (we were late for a function) it was too late to mention that between us we only had one bath towel. unfortunatley the experience was not a good one and we will not visit this hotel again

It's very noisy outside at night, as it is on High Street.

Re-furbished in 1984, so rather shabby now, but good food and service and very conveniently situated in the centre of Colchester. Getting a place in the hotel car park can be difficult, but I would certainly stay there again.
