our experience was awesome! our kids had plenty of things to keep them busy and mom and dad had places to go while they were entertaining themselves. while still being in close proximity to the whole family.

The location is an up and coming area. When all the shops and entertainment venues open this will be an amazing place. The hotel is big and the common areas are very attractive. The rooms are a little small and not up to par. The bed was passable. The pool was highly chlorinated. The shower pressure was just a slight sprinkle. The housekeeping service would wake you you up every morning at 8 am including weekends ( Not good) . The rest of the staff were very nice and friendly.

The facility is beautiful and your location was great. House keeping was an area that needs improvement. one day I do not think they ever came. my sikk and tube wher not wiped down and the last day they took my bath mat and did not replace it. non of these things are not earth shaking or deal breakers but I was not wowed either.

The Gaylord National Resort is a beautiful place to stay and is very convenient to Washington, DC. The restaurants are very expensive though.

I was at the hotel for a conference, and it turned out to be a great venue for a conference and as a hotel. The room was very large and very comfortable, and the service was great throughout my stay. Unfortunately National Harbor is fairly new and you do feel a little isolated, but in the end, it was the conference I was there for.

Beautiful new hotel and resort area still struggling to meet expectations. Room and check in service were acceptable, but lobby bar didn't open until 4pm with check in at 3pm. Recommend lobby bar open at 2pm. Checkout was a disaster - ended up calling in the checkout, waited nearly an hour for the car to be retrieved by the valet. Checkout was at 11am, but the shops in National Harbor (outside the Gaylord) didn't open until noon. We did get a refund for the valet car park service. Hotel charges $15 per day for amenities - whether you use them or not.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. You can tell there was lots of training in customer service. The hotel was very new and beautiful however the walls seemed very thin because you could hear normal conversations in the rooms next door. Also the resort fee seem excessive. It would be better and more honest to just build it into the price of the room. It was not convenient to find a quick lunch without sitting down in an expensive restaurant or having a few choices at a coffee shop.

Pro: Scenic location on Potomac, friendly staff Cons: King room has no bath tub, only a shower, can't open windows at all, only expensive local restaurants, no local food stores or pharmacy, mandatory $15/day resort fee, not enough exercise equipment at peak times, not convenient to public transportation (20 min bus from nearest Metro station), expensive parking $19/day

Overall hotel accomodation was extremely very clean. I was unhappy about two things...the price of parking which self park was $19.00 per day and the bed was very noisy. For a 5-star hotel, I was disappointed with the creaking bed which resounded with every turn you make.

Well the bed was nice except I couldn't fall asleep because the vent was blowing constant heat or cold air in my face...the bed is position wrong it should be away from the vent, I had to place the lamp that was sitting on the lamp table in front of my face to try and escape it, which didn't work very well. I ordered a turkey club sandwich (room service) tip the waiter ---got the bill under the door later asking for $27.00 for the sandwich. (what $27.00) that's outrageous!!!! OH!! forgot to mention I received a minature soda with that order.
