Gateway Inn And Suites Hotel San Francisco Guest Reviews
decent looking on the inside but service was bad. REALLY BADD, AM STILL VERY UPSET THINKINGG ABOUT IT, I BOOKED A ROOM , THE GUY IN THE Lobby told me no guest after 11, and i just felt as if that was unecessary, so i tried to get my money back, thats when the nonsense began. They told me i had to call orbitz to get my money back, i called orbitz and they called the hotel and the manager was rude and told me that you i cant get my money back because i didnt cancel two days before my reservation.i nicely explained to her that i had made the reservation JUST 2 hours ago, she was still very rude and said no refund, then orbitz was trying to charge me 74 dollars for a cancellation fee, and the room was 74, so not only did they cheat me out of 74 dollars , they were very rude, and the place is just decent looking . go to the ramada inn up the streeet, it looks the exact same and the staff at the ramada is alot more friendlier, stay away from here, noone was even in the parking lot,i know why now, its because they are rude and cheat everyone out their money, PLEASE GO ELSE WHERE

I was competing in an archery tournament in Pacifica and needed a place to stay for the weekend. The room seemed OK at first but turned sour when trying to turn on the TV. The remote was missing and I went to the front desk to ask for a replacement. The clerk assured me there was a remote in the room but would send someone there to check. The maintenance man sent could not find one. He told his helper to fetch one. The new one did not work. The wiring leading to the TV was hanging out of the cabinet so the maintenance man checked out the wiring which made the TV inoperable. He worked on it for about an hour and a half, to no avail. He then had me moved to another room down the hall. As I moved my belongings into the room I complained the room smelled like cigarette smoke. It reeked of smoke as a matter of fact. The maintenance man returned with a spray can of Lysol, opened the bay windows and sprayed. It did little good. Since I only returned to the room to sleep after the day's competition, I did not complain further. While there though I inventoried the list of amenities. There was no ironing board, iron, hotel stationary or writing instruments. There was only one wash cloth, one hand towel, and two bath towels. I know the room should be providing for two occupants, but seeing as I was a single, I did not complain. The room was getting run down by not repairing broken or faulty things such as the sink drain not working, smudges and marks on the wall. Upon checking out, I was asked to sign a credit card statement for $150.00. [...]. Thank you for the opportunity to express my concerns.Donald Beech
