It was so easy to use the trains into Venice only five minutes round the corner to the station!!. They were very regular once we understood how the train times worked some were direct from Mogliano and some you just changed in Mestre (one stn away) and it was only a matter of changing platform. Only 18mins to the Grand Canal and 1.80 Euros each way. Nice clean village and so cheap compared to Venice. Lovely and quiet and safe and attractive surroundings. I was given a very small double but with a nice terrace and lovely ensuite. It didnt matter if tiny as after all I was paying hotel club prices. Great choice if you want peace at night.

Excellent continental breakfast, very convienent situation for buses to Trieste and surrounds,but to be noted that Duino is a half hour bus ride from Trieste. Restaurants are thin on the ground in the village but do try the "Bowling Pizza Risorante"150 metres up the hill from Garni Aurora (very ethnic) Hotel is friendly and snug but excellent value.

A very friendly hotel with good facilities, especially for the price. For English speakers, the owner speaks english extremely well.

The Hotel Garni Aurora is a wonderful little hotel, with an extremely friendly and helpful owner, within walking distance of Duino's attractions (The Castle, views of the Adriatic and good restaurants!), at a very affordable price! A very good breakfast, beautifully served is included in the price. Highly recommended! Tomas Gergely, USA
